The QuestBridge Scholars Network at Vanderbilt

The Vanderbilt University QSN Chapter provides a welcoming and supportive community for its members. QuestBridge Scholars can engage in chapter activities, apply for leadership positions, and participate in opportunities offered nationwide through QuestBridge, including access to QuestBridge Alumni Association resources.

Founded in 2013, the Vanderbilt QSN Chapter aims to build a strong support network, while celebrating QuestBridge Scholar identities through community service, social events, and reflection. The chapter has built a strong relationship with Vanderbilt’s Office of Transition Programs, which focuses on transfer, first-generation, and low-income students. In past years, the chapter has emphasized community service by offering volunteer opportunities at a homeless shelter, serving at the Ronald McDonald House, and working with a nonprofit organization that provides educational materials to underserved schools.

Dedicated to building a strong community and support network, the Vanderbilt QSN Chapter has offered a mentorship program and has hosted a variety of fun social events like a gingerbread house competition at the holiday party. In addition to group activities, there are always opportunities for underclassmen to get involved in chapter leadership and initiatives. Each year, newly appointed chapter leaders and Executive Board members work together to plan new programming to ensure chapter members feel welcomed and engaged.
