Policy on Outside Funding
Students may use outside funding to purchase technology needed for learning while they are at Williams. They may use up to $5,000 over their career. Outside funding is then used to reduce Williams grant, dollar for dollar.

Policy on Health Insurance
If a student enrolls in the college plan because they have no insurance or their health insurance does not meet the college’s requirements, a health insurance grant will be provided as part of the Williams funding.

Policy on Travel Allowance
The travel allowance, which is built in to the student award, should cover the cost of two round trips between home and campus. Students will have a credit on their student account each semester for one round trip. Students may book travel through the college (Egencia) and charge their trip to their student bill or pay independently and get reimbursed from their student account once the semester begins.

Policy on Student Contribution
Students are not required to contribute towards their Williams costs from their summer earnings. Instead, we replace their summer earnings expectation with Williams Grant.

Requirements Associated with Maintaining this Award
Students must maintain the academic progress requirements expected of Williams students.

Other Details
A book grant will be provided as part of the Williams funding to cover the cost of required books. Students have no out of pocket costs for books.
