Trinity College
QuestBridge Scholars Network at Trinity
Hello from the Trinity College QSN Chapter! Our organization's goal is to create and maintain a happy and healthy social environment for Questies (or anyone else who wishes to join us) on campus, and use that bond to do one-off community service projects from time to time. Our group is recognized by Trinity College's student government as of this year, and much of our work is sponsored by our close friends at the admissions office!
Trinity is in a state of radical change in its social body, and it shows through our connections. It is not uncommon for us to collaborate with ethnic and gender-based groups on campus that didn't even exist just a few years ago! The admissions office is certainly our closest connection, however, and we value that bond we have with the individuals who admitted us to campus. Our admissions representatives are at most of our events and we hold dinners at their office's beautiful dining room each semester. Aside from our external connections, we encourage closeness among Questies with our Mentoring Program; underclassmen are assigned to upperclassmen volunteers upon their arrival, and they meet regularly to help with any challenges that they may run into. Many lasting friendships are built this way!
Most of our events have a thematic element to them, and we often incorporate members of the local community to give us insight on whatever the theme of that day may be; we are here for education, after all! Some of these people have been psychologists from the local Counseling Center, representatives from the Career Development Center on campus, and even religious authorities that the college has on staff. Most often, though, we learn the most from each other. Questies at Trinity are very tightly knit, and share a lot with each other in- and outside of meetings. We hope you'll be able to experience that first-hand!
Update on the Trinity College partnership:
Effective August 2016, Trinity College has ended its partnership with QuestBridge. As an early advocate for making college affordable for high-achieving, low-income students, Trinity has been a valued QuestBridge partner since 2003.
While students will no longer be able to apply to Trinity College through QuestBridge for the National College Match, QuestBridge will continue to support the QuestBridge Scholars currently enrolled at Trinity College, and any QuestBridge alumni who might benefit from our programs.
